Description

This area is cataloged as Abell 85 and CTB1. George O. Abell included the nebula in his planetary nebula catalog. Later, it was determined to be a supernova remnant. The CTB1 catalog includes it as a radio source. It also emits xrays.

This is a faint nebula. I processed it as HSO. Most of the photons I caught were Ha and Sii. The Oiii is really dim. It mostly shows up as the blue on the left side.

This is an area about the size of the full moon. It didn't quite fit all the way on my 36x24 sensor at 2563 focal length.

Often called the balloon or garlic nebula, this looks more like an artichoke to me.

Revison B has the stars removed with Starnet. This left some artifacts where the stars were removed inside the nebulosity. It shows a lot of detail even with the minor artifacts .
